| On the creation of eutépé, the five Musicians were dis- concerted with the grieving musical poverty of the Re- pertory for Trumpet Ensemble. Right away extremely demanding in that field, they select only a few scores among the hundreds they have read and they decide to devote themselves to the creation of a new Reper- tory, with a real music for the Concert and no fanfares. Thirty two years after, they can know present about 80 works written for their attention (Creations, Transcriptions and Arrangements) and that make the most important part of their Repertory : pieces in Recital (from the Duo to the Quintet) or with various orchestrations. Each of the 5 musicians of the Ensemble de Trompettes de Paris uses several instruments: modern trumpet in C or B flat, cornet, flugelhorn, piccolo trumpet and numerous mutes. Thus they can realise multiple instrumentations and vary infinitely the sonority of the Ensemble. |
